Anne-Marie Martin

Anne -Marie Martin ( born November 11, 1957 in Toronto, Ontario), actually Edmonda Benton, is a Canadian actress and screenwriter.

Life

Martin played in the mid- 1970s, initially under the name Eddie Benton guest roles in several television series and had a recurring role in the short-lived medical series Rafferty. In 1979 she had a supporting role in the science fiction film Delta III - We do not want to back earth, in the following year, she starred in the Canadian slasher film Prom Night one of the main roles. From 1981, she used the pseudonym Anne- Marie Martin. Between 1982 and 1985 she played Gwen Davies in the U.S. soap opera Days of Our Lives. She became famous by showing the role of Dori Doreau in the television series Sledge Hammer!

In 1987 she married the author Michael Crichton and retired from acting. In 1996, she co-wrote with her husband, the script for the action movie Twister, for which both were awarded the following year with the Golden Raspberry. In 2002 she got a divorce from Crichton.
