Anne Plichota

Anne Plichota ( * 1968 in Dijon ) is a French librarian and children's author.

Life

Anne Plichota holds a degree in Cultural Studies and studied Chinese. She spent some time in Korea and traveled through China. As a librarian, she worked at the public library in Strasbourg. With her ​​colleague Cendrine wolf began in 2005 to write books about youth, a 13 - year-old who moves to London and discovers that she can conjure. First, the two authors published the novel Oksa Pollock self-published after the French publisher Gallimard in 2007 had rejected the publication. The retail chain Fnac took the books on their assortment.

Later, the novels were published by the Parisian publishing house Editions XO. The first edition of the first novel had 50,000 copies. He has since been published in 21 languages ​​, reaching a circulation of 100,000 copies. With her ​​novels, the authors came to the French bestseller lists. Anne Plichota lives with her daughter in Strasbourg.

The novel The Unexpected appeared in 2011 as an audio book read in a German version, read by Cathlen Gawlich, directed by Frank Gustavus, in the translation by Bettina Bach and Marlies soot Oetinger audio.
