Annika Dries

Annika Dries ( born February 10, 1992, San Diego ) is an American water polo player. In 2012 she won the U.S. national water polo gold medal at the Olympic Games in London.

Sports career

Dries began her career at the Laguna Beach High School and was appointed to the youth team of the national team in 2006. Since 2009 she plays for the University of team of Stanford University. Since 2010 she has been in the national team and played among other things, at the Pan American Games 2011 in Guadalajara, the games of Water Polo World League 2012 and the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London (2 goals ), for which she won each of the gold medal with her team.

Private

Dries studied at Stanford University human biology. Privately, she is committed to breast cancer research.
