Occurrence

Description

Appearance and leaf

Anogeissus leiocarpa grows as evergreen shrub or small tree, reaching heights of growth of usually 15, rarely up to 30 meters. The straight trunk has a diameter of up to 1 meter. The bark of the branches is hairy fluffy. The gray and light to dark brown mottled bark contains a dark resin.
