Anselm Marshal, 6th Earl of Pembroke

Anselm Marshal, 6th Earl of Pembroke († December 23, 1245 ) was the sixth Earl of Pembroke (second award ) and Lord Marshal of England.

He was the youngest and last of the five sons of William Marshal, 1st Earl of Pembroke. When William Marshal in 1219 wrote his last will, should his youngest son Anselm, who was named after William 's younger brother, get nothing. It is believed that he is a career as a knight-errant wish for the young Anselm, as which he himself had achieved significant achievements. However, his advisors convinced him to grant Anselm a small piece of land.

He followed his brother Walter on November 24, 1245 before he died a month later in Chepstow Castle. He was buried in Tintern Abbey.

Anselm of Humphrey de Bohun daughter of, Earl of Hereford and Essex was with Maud, married. They had no children and Anselm's estates were divided between his four surviving sisters, Isabella, Sibyl, Eva, and Joan, and their men. The county of Pembroke went out first, to Joan de Munchensi († 1307 ), a granddaughter and heiress of William Marshal, 1247 by William de Valence was married. This reached that the title of Earl of Pembroke he was re- awarded.
