Antaifasy

Antaifasy ( malagasy for " tribe out of the sand " ) is a small tribe ( Research Committee ) of forest farmers in Madagascar. The settlement area of Antaifasy extended before the 19th century to the southeast of the island in the area of Farafangana, but many Antaifasy were enslaved on the plantations of the east coast in the 1830s. The Antaifasy have probably split off from the Sakalava of the west coast as an independent group 100 years ago. They live according to a very strict moral code. Your clans have still their own princes and kings. Through strict Fady they separate from the other ethnic groups sharply. Your collective burial sites are in the woods.
