Antanas Valionis

Antanas Valionis ( born September 21, 1950 in Zabieliškis, Rajon Kėdainiai, Lithuanian SSR) is a Lithuanian politician, member of the party Naujoji sąjunga ( socialliberalai ) (New Union) in the Lithuanian Parliament ( Seimas ).

Valionis was KGB reservist since 1981 and has held the rank of captain. From 1990 to 1994 studied at Warsaw University and a doctorate in political science. Of 30 October 2000 to 5 July 2001, he was Foreign Minister of Lithuania. From 2004 to 2008 he was a member of the Lithuanian Seimas.
