Anthony Winkler Prins

Anthony Winkler Prins ( born January 31, 1817 in Voorst, † January 4, 1908 in Voorburg ) established the important Dutch encyclopedia, " Winkler Prins ".

Life

Anthony Winkler Prins studied science and literature at the University of Utrecht and theology at Mennonite Theological Seminary of the University of Amsterdam. After graduation, he worked as a pastor of the Mennonite Church in the Netherlands. In his home town of Veendam, he founded a navigation school and a Masonic lodge. An exhibition about Anthony Winkler Prins is to visit the museum in Veendam Veenkoloniaal.
