Anton Shunin

Anton Vladimirovich Schunin (Russian Антон Владимирович Шунин; born January 27, 1987 in Moscow ) is a Russian football goalkeeper.

Career

Association

Schunin was trained as a goalkeeper for FK Dynamo Moscow. Between the post from 1994 to 2004 he played in the youth team. This was followed by regular inserts for the second team.

His debut in the first team he could celebrate against FK Khimki on April 21, 2007 in Premjer League.

In the league game against Zenit St Petersburg on November 17, 2012 Schunin was injured by an attack with a firecracker on the eyes and suffered burns to conjunctiva, cornea and eyelids. The referee stopped the game from then. Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev called after this incident severe punishments for the perpetrators.

National

In the period between 2002 and 2003 Schunin was a member of the Russian U-19 national team. In 2007 he graduated from six games for the Russian U -21 national football team.

On 21 August 2007 in a friendly against the Polish team his first appearance for the Russian national team took place. The match ended in a draw (2-2 ). To his second international match he came 11 November 2011 in a 1-1 draw against Greece.

At the European Championships in 2012 Schunin was in the squad of the Russian team, he was behind Vyacheslav Malafejew and Igor Akinfejew however only third-choice goalkeeper and did not come during the tournament to use one.
