Antonín Puč

Antonín Puč ( born May 16, 1907 in Jinonice, Austria - Hungary, now in Prague, Czech Republic, † 18 April 1988, in Prague ) was a Czechoslovak football player and coach.

Association

About Čechie Smíchov and SK Smíchov came Puč 1925 as a 18 -year-old striker to Slavia Prague and fought his way to immediately secured a regular place. In his first season he scored 16 goals. In the years 1927 and 1928/29, he was named by 13 -goal leading scorer in the league.

With the commitment of Vlastimil Kopecký 1932 Puč had to dodge to the left wing, which initially meant a big change for the center forward. Nevertheless, the national player shot in season 1933/34, 17 goals. Subsequently, however, and more often younger players began to enforce, so Puč not more regularly came into use. In the summer of 1938 he moved to Victoria Zizkov, there enter two seasons eleven goals in 20 games. His career ended Puč early 1940s at his former club SK Smíchov.

With a total of 123 Erstligatoren Puč is a member of the club ligových kanonýrů.

National

Puč was next Oldrich Nejedlý the best attacker of the Czechoslovakian national team. In 60 games he scored 34 goals - a record which was surpassed by Jan Koller in 2005.

With the Football World Cup 1934 in Italy, he became vice - world champion, in the final against Italy, he scored in the 76th minute, the interim guidance for Czechoslovakia. At the end of his career he was in the squad for the World Cup 1938 in France.

Coach

Puč trained 1943/44, the SK Nusle, who had to descend finished last out of the House of Lords. In the 1945/46 season he coached Čechie Karlin, the team also got down from the top division.
