Antonio Palafox

Antonio "Tony" Palafox ( born April 28, 1936 in Guadalajara ) is a former Mexican tennis player.

Palafox won together with his compatriot Rafael Osuna double the competitions at the U.S. Open in 1962 and Wimbledon in 1963. Early as 1961 and again in 1963, he was with Osuna in the finals of the U.S. Open. In 1960 he had also been in the Mixed final, which he lost to Maria Bueno, Margaret Osborne duPont against and Neale Fraser.

In 1962 he was part of the Mexican Davis Cup team that could advance to the finals against Australia. There, however, the team was defeated smooth with 0:5, Palafox came into two singles and in doubles with Rafael Osuna used. He completed a total of 21 appearances for Mexico, where he won half of his 26 Einzepartien, as well as 13 of his 18 double batches.
