Antsla Parish

Antsla ( German: Anzen ) is a rural municipality in the Estonian county Võru. It has 4222 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2006).

Antsla is the westernmost and largest municipality of the district. The place is 35 km from Võru. In addition to the main town Antsla the country parish includes the villages Ähijärve, Anne, Antsu, Haabsaare, Jõepera, Kaika, Kikkaoja, Kobela, Kollino, Kraavi, Litsmetsa, Luhametsa, Funny Valentine, Madise, Mähkli, Oe, Piisi, Rimmi, Roosiku, Savilöövi, Soome, SAERE, Taberlaane, Tsooru, Vana- Antsla and Viirapalu.

Worth seeing is the manor of Vana- Antsla, which is documented since 1405. 1601 Antsla was conquered by Swedish troops.
