Antti Kuisma

Antti Sakari Kuisma ( born February 23, 1978 in Jyväskylä ) is a retired Finnish Nordic Combiner.

Career

His national debut Kuisma 1987 before 1999 his first World Cup season and played in 2001 at the Summer Grand Prix in Oberhof achieved his first podium finish. His best individual result in the World Cup was a fifth place in February 2005 at Pragelato in the sprint. Because of the large internal team competition Kuisma occurred more frequently in competitions of the B World Cup and won three races in a total of seven podium finishes. The first success was a Gundersen competition in 2001 in Val di Fiemme and shortly after a sprint victory in Taivalkoski, 2006 Vuokatti he won again in Gundersen.

The greatest success of his career succeeded Kuisma at the Olympic Winter Games 2006 in Turin, where he won the bronze medal in the team competition of the Nordic combined together with Anssi Koivuranta, Jaakko Tallus and Hannu Manninen.

2008 Kuisma ended his active career and was together with teammate Hannu Manninen announced his resignation after he had participated in a total of 66 World Cup and the 2006 Olympics in Turin. During the Summer Grand Prix 2008 Kuisma traveled as assistant coach with the Finnish team nordic combined.

Music

After Kuisma worked in the winter sports band Vieraileva Tähti from 1999 with vocals and guitar, he started since then to support smaller bands within his home town Jyväskylä. As a consultant, he is his former fellow musicians in the band The Croesus to the side and coordinates the studio recordings.

Kuisma is not married and lives currently in Vuokatti. He trained there young people in the Nordic combined.
