Apam is the capital of the Gomoa District in the Central Region of Ghana, West Africa. According to Census of 2000, the town has 16 494 inhabitants. Apam is located on the Atlantic coast, about 68 km from the regional capital, Cape Coast and 69 km from the state capital of Accra.

Biggest attraction of the place is the historic Fort Patience (or Fort Leydsamheit called ) from the 18th century. In Apam there is the only hospital in the district. It has 105 beds and is operated by the Catholic Church.
