Apostolic Vicariate of Puerto Princesa

The Apostolic Vicariate of Puerto Princesa (Latin: Portus apostolicus Vicariatus Principis in Philippins ) is a located in the Philippines Roman Catholic Apostolic Vicariate with its headquarters in Puerto Princesa.

History

The Apostolic Vicariate of Puerto Princesa was established on April 10, 1910 by Pope Pius X made ​​cessions of territory of the Diocese of Jaro as Apostolic Prefecture of Palawan. On July 3, 1955, the Apostolic Prefecture of Palawan was by Pope Pius XII. elevated to the Apostolic Vicariate. The Apostolic Vicariate of Palawan announced on May 13, 2002 from parts of its territory to the founding of the Apostolic Vicariate of Taytay and was renamed the Apostolic Vicariate of Puerto Princesa.
