Puerto Princesa

Puerto Princesa is the capital of the Philippine province of Palawan.

Geography

The area of ​​the Highly Urbanized City is located in the center of Palawan and extends over the entire width. It is bordered to the north by the municipalities of San Vicente and Roxas, and in the south of Aborlan. The actual city, where three-quarters of the population live, is located on a peninsula on the Puerto Princesa Bay on the east coast. History

The town was officially founded on March 4, 1872. The name of Puerto de la Princesa refers to Princess María Eulalia of Spain. In 1911, the provincial government of Palawan Taytay was moved.
