Aborlan, Palawan

Aborlan is a Philippine municipality in the province of Palawan.

The place Aborlan ( Baranggay Poblacion ) lies in a vast plain between the Sulu Sea and the mountains, 69 km southwest of Puerto Princesa. The municipality Aborlan bordered to the northeast by Puerto Princesa and on the southwest by the municipalities of Narra and Quezon. In the southeast of the Sulu Sea lies the South China Sea in the northwest. The municipality lies mostly on the island of Palawan, also includes the island Malanao as well as several smaller islands to the township.

The town was founded in 1910. The municipality was founded from the same community district on June 28, 1949.

Aborlan is the only place in the province of Palawan with an agricultural college, today's Western Philippines University.
