Narra, Palawan

Narra is a Philippine municipality in the province of Palawan. It has 65 264 inhabitants ( census May 1, 2010 ). In the village there is a campus of the Palawan State University.

On the island belonging to Narra Rasa Rasa the Iceland Wildlife Sanctuary was established in 2006. In this the world's highest number of lives to free-living specimens of the endangered Rotsteißkakadus. 2013 prevented protests from local residents and conservation organizations to build a coal power plant of DMCI Power Corporation in Barangay Panacan. Conservationists feared that the emissions of the power plant could make the recent successes in the continuance of the avifauna on Rasa Iceland destroyed, as it should be built directly opposite the island.
