Taytay (Palawan)

Taytay is a Philippine municipality in the province of Palawan. It has 70 837 inhabitants ( census May 1, 2010 ). Seven kilometers south of the community center is the Manguao Lake, lead to the numerous rivers. The western part of the municipality is located in the Natural Park Malampaya Sound Protected Landscape / Seascape and the northern El Nido - Taytay Managed Resource Protected Area, both of which are combined landscape and marine protected areas.

In Taytay Spanish fort Fuerza de Sta in 1738. Isabel completed, it served to protect against present on raids Moropiraten in the 18th century. In the village there is a campus of the Palawan State University.
