Lake Manguao

The Manguao Lake is a lake situated in the province of Palawan, MIMAROPA region in the Philippines. The lake is located in the northeast of the island of Palawan, about 7.5 km southeast of the community center of Taytay. In the lake flow numerous rivers that have their source in the northern highlands of Palawan. West of the lake lies the nature reserve Malampaya Sound Protected Landscape / Seascape.

The region around the lake has a tropical humid climate with a dry season from January to April; the rest of the year, applies to some heavy rainfall. The mean annual precipitation is ca 2200 mm / m². The average annual temperatures are 27 ° C. It is believed that a small population of the inguinal crocodile ( Crocodylus porosus ) lives in the lake.
