Archeparchy of Haifa and the Holy Land
The archeparchy Haifa and the Holy Land (lat. Archieparchia Ptolemaidensis Maronitarum in Terra Sancta ) is a Uniate with the Roman Catholic Church Maronite archeparchy based in Haifa.
History
The archeparchy was incorporated on 8 June 1996. It goes back to an ancient bishopric in Akka from the third century. On 5 October the same year she lost part of its territory in favor of the establishment of the Patriarchal Exarchate of Jerusalem and Palestine, and Jordan, which share a bishop in persona episcopi.
