Ardfern

Ardfern (Gaelic: Aird Fheàrna ) is a small village in the north west of the Scottish Unitary Authority Argyll and Bute. It is located on the western shore of Loch Craignish, a side bay of the Jura Sund about 17 kilometers north- west of Lochgilphead and 25 kilometers south of Oban In 1961 69 inhabitants were counted in Ardfern. In more recent census data Ardfern is no longer listed separately. The town is situated off the A816 which connects the A83 at Lochgilphead along the West Coast with the A85 to Oban.

Sights and surroundings
