Arguineguín

Arguineguin or Arguinegin (in the language of the Guanches " carbonated water ") is a district of the municipality Mogan in Gran Canaria, Spain.

General

The town with about 12,000 inhabitants, is located south of Las Palmas on the highway on the south coast of the island between the villages of Maspalomas and Puerto Rico. Although Arguineguin also has a beach and a marina, but the tourism is not as pronounced as in the mentioned neighboring villages.

Characteristic of Arguineguin is a huge cement factory, which was built on the coast and can be seen from far away.

Daily life takes place mostly in the harbor off from there are boats to Puerto de Mogan and Puerto Rico. This is also where the docks and in the adjacent halls the fish caught are processed.
