  • On 13 November 2000, a Yakovlev of Aria Air was kidnapped.
  • On July 24, 2009 at 18:10 clock has a built in 1989, but little flown Ilyushin Il -62 destroyed with the registration UP- 16208 of DETA Air on the Mashhad International Airport while landing of Aria Air Flight 1525. This testing involved 17 people including CEO Mehdi Dadpei, whose son and 13 crew members died; another 19 were injured. The cause was that the pilot the machine relatively late and too fast ( with 317 km / h instead of the permitted 250 km / h ) touched down on the 3800 meter long runway 13L. This makes the machine rolled over the end of the runway and crashed into an earth wall, the front fuselage section was destroyed about 1000 meters later. The machine was leased to the airline in May 2009, and was formerly part of the stock of inter- Flight ( mark DDR SEY).
