Aristoteles (crater)

Aristotle is an impact crater in the northeast of the Moon front on the southern edge of the Mare Frigoris. It is a large crater with terraced wall. Its southeastern rim covers some of the neighboring crater Mitchell. With the south slightly smaller crater Eudoxus, Aristotle makes a striking pair.
The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the Greek philosopher Aristotle.
