Armando Castaingdebat

Armando Irineo Castaingdebat Colombo ( born October 25, 1959) is a Uruguayan politician.

Training and Private

The way his school education brought about the Escuela No.3 " José Pedro Varela ", the Liceo de Flores Departamental No. 1 and the Colegio Seminario. Subsequently, he studied veterinary medicine at the Universidad de la República. He finished his studies with a doctorate. Castaingdebat is married and father of three children.

Sports career

Between 1978 and 1987 he was a leading figure of the football club Club porongos and belonged to the regional selection team of Flores. He took the national student choice in part on the position of the goalkeeper at the University of World Cup 1979 in Mexico, in which Uruguay was able to secure vice world championship title. He could repeat with the University team at the Universiade 1985 in Kobe this success. Between 2000 and 2007 he served as secretary of the youth football teams of the Uruguayan Football Association ON on Funkuionärsebene in sports.

Political career

Castaingdebat is a member of the Partido Nacional since 1988. Since July 8, 2005 he is Intendente of the department of Flores. In the local elections on May 9, 2010, he was elected for a second five-year term of office by the electorate.
