The parliamentary elections in Armenia in 2012 was held on 6 May 2012.

President Serzh Sarkisian ruling Republican Party won the majority of seats. Armenia's wealthiest man Gagik Zarukjan with his party Prosperous Armenia came in second place with about a quarter of the seats, while the Armenian National Congress, the Armenian Revolutionary Federation, the country of the inheritance law and each won less than 10 percent of the seats.

Procedures and system

From a total of 131 seats in the Armenian National Assembly 90, the parties to use a proportional representation system, awarded, while the other 41 are elected by constituencies by a majority vote system. The electoral threshold is 5% for parties and 7% for alliances, in this case, is the only alliance of the Armenian National Congress.
