Armin Jäger

Armin Hunter ( born September 19, 1962 in Ludwigsburg ) is a former German football goalkeeper.

Career

Hunter began playing football at TSV Asperg and moved in 1981 to the amateurs of VfB Stuttgart. Between 1983 and 1989, he completed a total of 20 Bundesliga appearances for the senior team of VfB, and for the Stuttgarter Kickers. He also came between 1986 and 1988 on 35 second division inserts for the Kickers. Although he was only substitute goalkeeper at VfB, he was instrumental in the profits of the German Championship 1984: Over the six games in which he represented goalkeeper Helmut Roleder, he was of the opposing strikers beaten only four times and VfB lost none of these Games.

In addition, hunters stood in 1986 ( with VfB ) and 1987 ( with the Kickers ) in the DFB Cup final, but went both times with his team as losers from the square.

The last major success of his career was the second league championship in 1988 and the related promotion to the Bundesliga.

Today operates Armin hunter along with his wife Regina an inn in Erdmannshausen.
