Arminia Ludwigshafen

Arminia Ludwigshafen (full name: Football Club Arminia 03 eV ) is a football club based in the Rhineland-Palatinate industrial city of Ludwigshafen am Rhein.

History

The club was founded in 1903 as the first FC Arminia Rheingönheim. In the era of National Socialism, he went on in the big-club TSG Rheingönheim. 1949 was followed by the re-foundation as FC Arminia 03 Since 1969, the club bears the place name Ludwigshafen.

1966, the club was the first time in the Amateur League West and remained there for nine years. In the season 1969/70 was achieved with the fourth place, the best finish this time. After several years in the district league Vorderpfalz Arminia 1988 got off to the county league. In 1995, the return to the District League succeeded. However, just like in the 1998/99 season took the guest appearance in the district league only one year.

Three climbs in a row led the Arminia 2005 back into the regional league southwest. First time in 2011 reached the summit in the Oberliga West, which was renamed to the start of the 2012/13 season in league Rheinland-Pfalz/Saar. In the first league game of 2011/12 the club finished 4th place as a climber. In the following season 2012/13 Arminia reached the 6th place.
