Stefan Malz

Stefan Malz ( born June 15, 1972 in Ludwigshafen, Germany) is a former German football player and coach.

Sports career

Malt played in the youth for the SV Pfingstweide, Blue - White Oppau and then at West Ludwigshafen. First club in the professional sector was in season 1992/93 second division side SV Darmstadt 98 His professional debut came on 7 August 1992 against the Wuppertal SV (0:3). For the first time on the scoresheet, he always wore on 15 Matchday in the game against SC Freiburg (1:1). However, the season ended with the 24th and final place and malt left the club.

About the VfR Mannheim (Oberliga Baden- Württemberg and Regionalliga Süd ), he joined in 1997 in the Bundesliga for TSV 1860 München. Under coach Werner Lorant himself malt has established itself in the premier league, but played in the further planning of Lorant squad after a disappointing return round 1998/99 season in which the club took only ten points, no longer matters.

There was a change in 1999 to Arsenal, which would prove to be too big for malt as a number. After only six missions in the Premier League, he moved in 2001 to 1 FC Kaiserslautern in the Bundesliga back. Even when FCK came malt in the subsequent period only sporadically used, whereby he had to contend with injuries. After malt had criticized internally in December 2004 FCK coach Kurt Jara, he was relegated to the second team and then asked for the dissolution of his contract.

In early 2005 he went to Arminia Ludwigshafen, a planned move to Australia to Newcastle United Jets failed. His last club was from 2006 the south- Oberliga FSV Oggersheim with which he ascended into the Regional 2007. End of the season 2007/ 08 he finished his career.

From January 2005 to May 2006 malt was player-coach of FC Arminia Ludwigshafen 03 and practiced the job until May 2006. On 21 February 2008, he became the new assistant coach of the women's second division club 1 FFC 08 Niedernkirchen. He was released on 2 November 2012.
