Armutlu is the capital of the district of the Turkish province of Yalova. The county Armutlu is located on the western tip of the province on the Bozburun peninsula in the east of the Marmara Sea. The Cape forms the western end of Samanli Dağları. At the same time Armutlu is at the north end of the Gemlik Bay ( Gemlik Körfezi ). 25 km west of Armutlu is the prison island İmralı, but which belongs to the province of Bursa.
