Army One

Army One is the call sign of any aircraft of the United States Army, which has the President of the United States on board.

Between 1957 and 1976, the Army divided the task of helicopter transport to the United States Marine Corps, so that the call was often assigned. After 1976, the helicopter transport has been completely transferred to the Marine Corps. A famous picture was taken on August 9, 1974, when Richard Nixon was from the steps of Army one a victory sign after his resignation the day before because of the Watergate scandal.

An Army aircraft that carries the Vice President, Army Two is called.
