Arna-Bjørnar

Arna -Bjørnar Fotball is a Norwegian football club from Bergen. Sporty figurehead of the club is the women's football team, which plays in the Norwegian league 's top series.

History

In 1996, the women's team Bjørnar IL rose the first time in the series Topp. The team was able to quickly establish itself in the league and was never in serious danger of relegation. In 2000 the club reached the Cup final, where they lost against Asker SK 4-1. After the season they merged with Arna TIL and now bears its present name Arna -Bjørnar Fotball.

In the very first season after the merger took the team to third place in the league. This is still the best league placement. In 2002 they reached the cup final for the second time. Counter Trondheim -Ørn SK they lost 4-3 after extra time. Two years later, the descent had to be accepted. The immediate re- ascent was made ​​and in the 2006 season took one fifth.

Training is the team of Morten Kalvenes. The team carries out their home games at Arna Stadium. Currently, the club three internationals: Madeleine Giske, Elise and Maren Mjelde Thorsnes. The club colors are red, white and black.
