Maren Mjelde

Maren Mjelde Nævdal ( born November 6, 1989 in Bergen) is a Norwegian football player.

Career

Mjelde went through all the youth national teams. In 2007, she took the U-19 team in which they lost to the U-19 European Championship in the semifinals 0-3 to England. Norway, however, had qualified for the U-20 World Cup of Women in Chile in 2008, where she was used in all three group matches. As a group of third parties to Norway but failed to qualify for the quarterfinals.

On October 27, 2007, she made ​​shortly before her 18th birthday, her first senior international match in a 3-0 win against Russia. This was at first their only senior international and first they continued playing for the youth teams. Only in March 2009, they came at the Algarve Cup again for use in the A-Team and was also nominated for the European Football Championship Women 2009 in Finland. There, the defender came on five missions with her ​​crew and reached the semi-finals. In 2010 she established itself permanently in the senior team and came 14 times for use, including again at the Algarve Cup and the World Cup qualifiers. In 2011 she took part in the Algarve Cup with Norway and was in the squad for the 2011 World Cup in Germany. She came in the three preliminary rounds to use, but resigned from Norway for the first time in a World Cup group stage.

On 14 December 2012, she signed a contract with the first FFC Turbine Potsdam.

With the Norwegian national team, she participated in the European Football Championship Women 2013 Sweden in part, at which it was used in all six games, and reached her final, which was lost 0-1.
