Aros Bay

Aros Bay is a bay on the east coast of the Scottish Hebridean island of Islay. It is located about seven kilometers south of McArthur 's Head and 15 km south-east of the island's capital Bowmore. The approximately 400 m wide bay cuts 600 m deep into the country. In the north it is bounded by the Cape Point Trudernish of the neighboring bay Claggain Bay. At the top of Aros Bay of Bach Kintour River empties one, which rises on the slopes of Beinn Uraraidh. Although Aros Bay is located in a sparsely populated part of the island, it is reached by a road. The single track road leading from Port Ellen on Lagavulin, Ardbeg and Trudernish to northern Ardtalla.

In older records reported by the remains of an ancient hut circle near the mouth of Kintour Rivers in Aros Bay. However, this could not be found on a subsequent trip.
