The Ponte de Arrábida is an arch bridge over the Douro, which connects Porto ( Arrábida ) with Vila Nova de Gaia.

When the bridge was completed in 1963, it was 270 m span the largest reinforced concrete arch bridge in the world. The total length of the road carrier is 493 m. It is located 70 m above the water level and is 27 m wide.

The engineer responsible for this project was Edgar Cardoso.
