Arradon

Arradon ( Aradon Breton ) is a commune ( as at 1 January 2011) with 5454 inhabitants in the Morbihan department in Brittany region.

The municipality belongs to the canton in the arrondissement of Vannes Vannes Ouest.

Geography

Arradon lies on the Gulf of Morbihan, five kilometers from Vannes, 43 kilometers from Lorient at an altitude of between zero and 61 m above the sea.

History

Arradon was first mentioned in 1304 as Daradon ( 1382: Aradon ).

Management

Mayor of Arradon is Dominique Mourier (term expires 2014). Arradon part of the Local Government Association, agglomerated Vannes - Golfe du Morbihan.
