Baden (Morbihan)
Baden ( Baden Breton ) is a commune with 4199 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Morbihan in the Brittany region.
The municipality belongs to the canton in the arrondissement of Vannes Vannes Ouest.
Geography
Baden is located on the Gulf of Morbihan, 12 kilometers from Vannes, 36 kilometers from Lorient at an altitude between -1 m and 43 m above the sea. Neighboring municipalities are Le Bono, Plougoumelen and Ploeren in the north, the east and Arradon Larmor -Baden in the south.
The municipal area also include the four small islands Sept Iles (not to be confused with the group of islands Sept Îles ), He Runio, Grand and Petit Veïzit Veïzit.
History
Baden was first mentioned in 1267 as Baden (1430: Badan, 1731: Badan ).
