Arrondissement of Sens

The Sens Arrondissement is an administrative unit of the French Department Yonne in the Burgundy region. Capital ( seat of the Prefecture) is Sens.

It consists of 10 cantons and 109 municipalities.

Before 1926

From 1800 ( the year VIII of the Revolution) to 1926 the district consisted of the current cantons, with the exception of Cerisiers, Saint -Julien -du -Sault and Villeneuve -sur- Yonne, which were taken over from the dissolved district Joigny.
