Art Malik

Art Malik ( born November 13, 1952 in Bahawalpur, Punjab, Pakistan, Athar Ul - Haque Malik actually ) is a British actor.

Life

Malik was born the son of Mazhar Ul - Haque and Zaibunisa Malik, a doctor who a short time later was admitted as a surgeon in England. Art Malik therefore moved with his parents and his four older brothers in 1956 to London, where he went to school. Later, he won a scholarship to the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Shortly thereafter, he played at the Old Vic and the Royal Shakespeare Company theater, including Shakespeare's Othello.

Mainly the British public, he has been known since 1982, when he starred in the television series The Jewel in the Crown (after " The Jewel in the Crown " by Paul Scott ) has a major role as the young Indian Hari Kumar. A larger supporting role played Malik 1987 as Afghan mujahedeen associate of Timothy Dalton as James Bond in The Living Daylights.
