Artem Okulov

Artyom Maximowitsch Okulov (Russian Артём Максимович Окулов; born May 5, 1994) is a Russian weightlifter. He is a multiple junior world and European champion and won the World Championship in 2013, the seniors a bronze medal in the light heavyweight division.

Career

Okulov comes from Tschussowoi. In his hometown, he began as a teenager with weight lifting and developed within a few years to become a world-class weightlifter. The Russian weightlifting federation realized early on his qualities, intensively promoted him and sat him regularly since 2009 at the World and European Championships in the junior range. Since 2012, he trained in a training center in Kazan and studied pedagogy in Moscow. With a size of 1.69 meters, he got in an ideal weight of 85 kg physical requirements (leverage ) in order to deliver maximum performance can.

In May 2012, Artem Okulov suffered at the Junior World Championship (U 20) in Antigua in the light heavyweight defeat. In July 2013 he started at the Universiade in Kazan. He scored there in a duel 371 kg ( 168-203 ), but his compatriot Apti Auchadow was beaten just who came to 372 kg ( 157-205 ).
