Arthur Bialas

Arthur Bialas ( born November 21, 1930 in Ratibor, † November 12, 2012 ) was a German football player.

Born in the time German Upper Silesia Arthur Bialas played as a youth for SV Ratibor 03 football. The striker won in 1953 with unit Seelow the district championship Frankfurt ( Oder) and missed his team barely move up to the DDR -Liga. 1953/54, he played for Motor Altenburg in the second league, before he and his brother Franz Bialas in the following year the installed straight from Lauterbrunnen to the coast SC Empor Rostock joined. By 1962, he scored 77 goals in 132 league games and a further 22 goals in 16 matches in the league. His greatest sporting achievements was winning the runner-up in 1962 and winning the top scorer (23 goals) in the same year. He also starred with the Rostockers three times in the fdgb Cup final (1955; 1957/1 gate; 1960), of which, however, he won none. On April 16, 1961 he played at 0-2 in Budapest against Hungary his only game for the GDR.

At the height of his career Bialas moved in the summer of 1962 in the GDR League to steel ironworks town where he was first player-coach. After finishing his career as an active player due to a meniscus injury he worked until 1968 continued as a trainer in iron and steel city.
