Arthur Butz

Arthur Robert Butz ( born November 10, 1933, New York City ) is an American electrical engineer and professor of electrical engineering at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, and Holocaust deniers.

1976 Butz first appeared with the book The Hoax of the Twentieth Century in appearance. It was translated into German ( The Twentieth Century ) in Udo Walendy " publisher of folklore and contemporary history " brought out in 1977. Butz denies the fact of the existence of gas chambers for extermination purposes in the concentration and death camps of the Nazis, and claimed that all documents on the Holocaust were fakes. The book was reissued in 1999 in a further emphasis.

Butz occurs alongside his work as a lecturer as speaker at various meetings on, among other things, the historical revisionist Institute for Historical Review, and is there in front of his theses.

After Butz in 2006 had welcomed the statements by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to the non-existence of the Holocaust, students of his university initiated under the title Never again a protest, in which more than 10,000 signatures were collected. The university administration, however, had already announced immediately after the statements to be able to take any disciplinary action because of the private opinion of Butz, as long as he does not this external in front of students.
