Arthur Grant Duff

Arthur Cuninghame Grant Duff KCMG (* May 23, 1861, † April 11, 1948 ) was a British ambassador.

Life

The father of Arthur Grant Duff was ME Grant Duff, Governor of Bombay. His siblings were Hampden, ( born July 27, 1874) and Evelyn Mountstuart Grant Duff ( * October 9, 1863 ). He studied at Balliol College, joined the Foreign Service in 1885, was sent to Madrid, 1887 promoted to Counsellor third class and 1892 to Counsellor second class. He was accredited from 1888 to 1891 in Vienna, from 1891 to 1892 in Stockholm, 1892 in Beijing, 1892 in Caracas, and from 1905 as Counsellor in Brussels. He was Counsellor of the first degree in Mexico. 1927 Arthur Grant Duff was forced to retire.
