Arthur Meschian

Arthur Mestschjan (English Meschian; poor Արթուր Մեսչյան, . Born 3 March 1949 in Yerevan ) is an Armenian architect, composer and singer.

Life

Arthur ( Artashes ) Mestschjan deals since his youth with painting, music, fencing and modeling. He graduated from the Music School " A. Spendiarov "where he learned to play violin and piano. Mestschjan sang in the children's choir of the " Yerevan Opera Theatre". He later learned to play the guitar. During his school days Mestschjan began composing.

From 1966 Mestschjan studied at the State Engineering University of Armenia.

In 1967, Mestschjan a rock band, which he later called " Arakjalner " (Acts ) .. The song " The Insane Asylum" ( Madhouse ) was the first rock opera in the history of Armenia. In 1974 Mestschjan worked as an architect in Yerevan.

Even before the fall of the Iron Curtain wandered Mestschjan with his wife and two sons in 1989 to Boston ( USA).

In 1989 he gave his first concert there in the Armenian Church. Published in 1991 Mestschjan his first album " Katarsis ". In 1990 Mestschjan formed a rock band that he (Acts 90) called " Arakjalner -90".

From 1996 to 1997 Mestschjan returned to Armenia and worked as a chief architect of Yerevan. He then worked again in Boston.

2005 Mestschjan went with his wife back to Armenia. 2011 Arthur Mestschjan was awarded the Order of St. Mesrop Mashtots.
