Arthur Ringwalt Rupley

Arthur Ring Walt Rupley ( born November 13, 1868 in West Fairview, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, † November 11, 1920 in Carlisle, Pennsylvania ) was an American politician. Between 1913 and 1915 he represented the State of Pennsylvania in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Arthur Rupley attended the Harrisburg Academy and the Cumberland Valley State Normal School in Shippensburg. After a subsequent law degree from the Dickinson School of Law in Carlisle and his 1891 was admitted as a lawyer, he began to work in this profession. At the same time he proposed as a member of the Republican Party launched a political career. Between 1895 and 1898 he was the district chairman in Cumberland County. From 1895 to 1899 he was there also District Attorney. Thereafter he served until 1906 as a legal representative of this district. In 1910 he took part in the regional Republican convention for Pennsylvania; in June 1912 he was a delegate to the Republican National Convention in Chicago, at the President William Howard Taft to be unsuccessful re-election has been nominated.
