Arthur Robertson Cushny

Arthur Robertson Cushny ( born March 6, 1866 in Fochabers, Moray, Scotland, † February 25, 1926 in Edinburgh) was a Scottish pharmacologist and physiologist.

He studied at Marischal College, Aberdeen, where he received his doctorate in 1889. After postdoctoral studies with Oswald Schmiedeberg in Strasbourg and Hugo Kronecker in Bern, he went in 1893 as professor of pharmacology at the University of Michigan to Ann Arbor, Michigan.

In 1905 he became a professor at the department of pharmacology at University College London. In 1918, he was succeeded Sir Thomas Richard Fraser in Edinburgh.
