Arthur Trappier

Arthur Benjamin TRAPPIER, called " type " or " traps ", ( born May 28, 1910 in Georgetown, South Carolina, † May 17, 1975 in New York City ) was an American drummer of the New Orleans Jazz and Swing.

TRAPPIER played in 1928 with Charlie Skeets and in the 1930s with the singer Blanche Calloway, Tiny Bradshaw and Buddy Johnson. 1940-1943 he played ( and recorded with ) with Fats Waller and then did his military service in World War II.
