Ã…sarne

Åsarna ( jämtländisch: Aosan; older spelling Åsarne ) is a place ( tätort ) in Berg municipality in southern Jämtland. The town is located on the western shore of the lake and the river Halen Ljungan.

Åsarna is called by the locals lovingly call Guldbyn to German " golden village ", as the local sports club produced many winners Olympic medals - so trained as Torgny Mogren Jan Ottosson, Thomas Wassberg and Anna Dahlberg at Åsarna IK.

Åsarna consists of the districts Västeråsen, Österåsen and Olsta (which itself independent villages with their own center are ). In Österåsen is the District Court for the mountain community. The town, located on the street 45 and has a station on the Inland Railway.
