The Group History
Assystem went in 1994 from the merger of two French companies RESPIRATORY Alphatem and forth. Since 1995, Assystem is listed on the Paris Stock Exchange. In 2003 there was the merger with Brime Technologies.
In 1966, the French RESPIRATORY was founded, one of the organization commissioning of industrial equipment specialized company ( including steel and nuclear industries ). In 1989, the company was founded Alphatem, one on nuclear facilities specialized joint venture of Cogema ( Areva since 2001 ). In 1995 there was a merger of the companies BREATH and Alphatem to Assystem. Assystem in the same year went to the stock exchange in Paris. In 2003 there came the merger with Brime Technologies and the name change to Assystembrime. Since 2005 Assystembrime trades back under Assystem. In the following years a number of further acquisitions, including the English company INBIS and German companies SKI team and Atena Engineering.

Assystem Germany Holding GmbH
Assystem Germany Holding GmbH was founded in 2004 and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Assystem SA with headquarters in Hamburg. The Company has three operating companies: the Assystem GmbH, Berner & Mattner Systemtechnik GmbH and Silver Atena Electronic Systems Engineering GmbH. The three operating companies within the Group employ more than 1.150 (2012 ) Employees and are in the aerospace, automotive, Industrial Automation, Transportation, Energy and Defence operates. Under the leadership of Ulrich O. Feik a turnover of EUR 112.9 million was generated in 2012.
Assystem GmbH
Assystem GmbH, based in Hamburg, originated in 2011 from the merger of the German company SKI team and Atena Engineering. With approximately 600 employees, it operates in ten locations in Germany, including Munich, Bremen and Berlin. In 1997, SKI -Team GmbH was founded as an engineering service provider in the field of aviation. The Atena Engineering GmbH was established in 1998 as a joint venture of MTU Aero Engines and Brunel Int. founded. The company Atena is an acronym of the phrase Advanced Technology Engineering Alliance. In 2002, the Atena Engineering GmbH wholly owned subsidiary of MTU Aero Engines was and adopted by the Assystem Germany Holding in July 2005. In 2008, the electronics area of Atena Engineering was split and introduced into the joint venture Silver Atena Electronic Systems Engineering.
Assystem GmbH is an engineering service provider in the fields of aerospace, automotive and turbo machinery ( industrial design, design and analysis, simulation, documentation, certification services ), project and quality management, production control, material technologies and test engineering. The customer base is made up of the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM ), the risk-sharing partners as well as companies from the Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO ).

Berner & Mattner
Berner & Mattner Systemtechnik GmbH was founded in 1979 by Hans Berner and Mattner Adolf in Munich. The company has 400 employees (2012 ) at six locations in Germany and in Vienna, Austria.
Berner & Mattner Systemtechnik GmbH was run by the owner for a long time after its foundation. -Founder Hans Berner was until 2012 CEO of the company. In 2009, Berner & Mattner founded a subsidiary in Vienna ( Berner & Mattner Systemtechnik GesmbH Austria ). The Silver Atena Electronic Systems Engineering GmbH (in short: Silver Atena ) was created in 2008 and has over 250 employees (2012 ) at four locations in Germany: Munich, Hamburg, Bremen and Stuttgart.
The Atena Engineering, founded in 1998, was acquired by the Assystem Germany Holding, a wholly owned subsidiary of Assystem SA in July 2005. In 2008, the electronics sector "Technology & Systems " Atena Engineering was split off and with the Indian company Silver Software for Silver Atena Ltd.. based in Malmesbury, UK, merged. The merger of the two companies, an international provider was in the market for security-related electronics. The German branch of Silver Atena Ltd.. subsequently traded at Silver Atena Electronic Systems Engineering GmbH.
The company developed a system supplier safety electronics for applications in the sectors of air and space technology, automotive, rail and Transportation.
